Title: Czech out my Skoda Fabia VRS
Post by: Schnaffler on June 17, 2012, 09:20:00 pm: So, with a baby on the way and after a hilarious attempt to get the pushchair in the boot of my Lupo GTI I had to make the sad decision to get something slightly larger. Sold the Lupo on ED38 and the buyer came this morning. By this afternoon I was the owner of a VRS! Gutted to lose the Lupo but loving the VRS already.

Al's already started on the modding, looking at a double DIN and wheel options. A new bumper with smoothed plate recess and lows are also planned.

Any performance mods planned?

What's the score with the alloys??

Again, not sure yet. Got my eye on something and a wish list as long as my arm!

Post by: 56OctyVRS on June 20, 2012, 10:08:17 am: If you ever need any ideas I used to own a fabia vrs and loved it to bits. A cracking car and had it for 4 years. I only sold it to buy the Octy vrs. I had mine running on koni fsd dampers with eibach springs. I also had the superpro anti lift bushes installed by jabbasport. A jabbasportrear arb and a superpro solid torque mount bush. I had different air filters fitted but eventually settled for a definned standard airbox, k&n filter with a PD160 intake. I fitted the seat sport engine brace and had a chipboost remap. I left the brake discs standard and fitted uprated pads. I also had a full milltek sports cat exhaust and the engine souned awesome. Pretty much left it as that as it was potent and handled well.

Rear offside was totally stuck on so ended up heading off to see the guys at FAB who had a hammer big enough and the brute strength to twat it off. :happy2:

Still a great motor in the Fabia :happy2:

Is that the Special Edition leather seats....? The only thing i never liked about the Vrs was the white interior, thats much nicer.

Post by: Schnaffler on July 08, 2012, 05:25:46 pm: They were a dealer option apparently, everyone I've spoken to agrees that the white edged seats look pap. I've not seen a car with a clean interior in the white either. They stain horribly.

Post by: Greeners on July 09, 2012, 11:56:12 pm: Only just caught up with this! Good choice on the VRS. I have a soft spot for these as my wife was delivered safely to the Hospital in one of these when she was about to give birth to our 2nd Daughter!!

Can't tell you how many times she swore at me and told me to slow down though!! :laugh:

Brilliant little car, not a single problem in 65k miles :-) the leather was a £1900 option so is deffinately worth having. My other half also has one, its for sale at the moment asshe has just bought an A3.

(remove rub strip, weld hole, filler hole, sand hole and paint, colour code to car)
