Hi
Can anyone wrap on this forum? I am looking to get my 2 wing mirrors wrapped
-
Get them sprayed, wrap un-peals itself after a while as its over stretched to form the curves etc.Did the same with carbon wrap, and it was a totally waste of time n effort.
Replacement covers and get them sprayed and keep your oem ones spare in case you revert to stock is the way to go.

My rear bumper lower section, and side skirts have been wrapped by the previous owner and has started to peel off. Better to get em painted tbh.

Wrapping wing mirrors is a knob of a job... :fighting:
-
Just had mine done on the Scirocco @ Chameleon (http://www.chameleonautographics.com) in Daventry. Well happy with the job too :)
-
Trouble is with wing mirrors is that the weave has to be pulled in about 4directions so not good.... As Steve said above get a spare set or hold out for some osir carbon jobbies :happy2:
-
I can wrap them if you wanted, but as mentioned by others, if it was the carbon weave you wanted then its harder work but can be done. If its only a solid colour change you want, this could be easier. Any thoughts op?

I just want them gloss black tbf
-
As above, don't bother wrapping them, but some others then they can just be swapped over, a 2 minute job!
Bought these from fleebay, non OEM but great and with the correct code (L041) for VW Solid Gloss Black. Oh and only £50 so silly cheap!

I had tried wrapping wing mirrors but couldn’t get success it but now I have changed my mind and will get full body vehicle wraps (https://silvertipgraphics.com/) for my car but for this I would like to hire some professional service as I just can’t bear to see any damage to my favorite car.

If you want wrap to work, hire a professional or order pre-cut pieces. Ebay wrap etc will peel because the glue is low quality and weak, with professional wrap it stays on for until you want to remove, it heals any rips and tears in it.
With wingmirrors it's easier to hire someone, you won't get the curves. and it will only take them 5 minutes.
