right i have a few questions about a rcd 510 firstly is withy the power drain issue. what do i need to fix ? is it just my can bus recoded or buy a new 1 and fit it?
secondlly i want to plug my ipod in to it so i can control it from the screen and have an optional aux in somewhere what cable do i need firstly for ipod?
is it :

Canbus: buy new version of can bus, recode and fit

well the power drain depends on the age of your car and the canbus version you have. However, i have a 55plate (registered september 05) which i put the RCD 510 into, and have not experienced any power drain. The car was left for 2 weeks when i went on holiday and started first time without a hint of hesitation when i returned, so i would say wait and see on the canbus.
If it does become a problem and does drain the battery you can always get a new one coded and fitted by EddieNL on this forum - depending where you live.(which reminds me i must get him to fit my cruise stalk lol). There are other guys around the country that can do this stuff too :smiley:
