Title: FAO retrofit masters: help needed for 8P RNS-E BT set up
Post by: sub39h on June 20, 2012, 04:40:32 pm
hi guys,

was looking for a bit of guidance. i drive a 2006 A3 with a 2010 RNS-E that i retrofitted myself. It seems that it has SDS, tho I don't have a mic so obviously it doesn't work. i'm looking for a fully integrated BT set up that will work with the SDS

i know that if you retrofit the OEM BT, you can use a repair wire from the BT mic to link to the SDS and get it to work a la the link below:

http://m.vagoc.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?t=151&showall=1

however, i was also looking for an audio solution for my iPhone so that i can listen to music. i was gonna go for OEM BT and then AMI, but now i'm thinking that i could use a Fiscon kit which will provide me with the full BT integration i'm after, but also give me the option of A2DP

my question is this: can i still use the above linked solution with Fiscon to get my SDS working, or am I gonna have to install another system and hence be better off just going for BT and AMI as i initially intended?

managed to get an answer - Fiscon does not support SDS

anyone feel like supplying/fitting the OEM BT kit and getting my SDS working?
