Title: best position for glass mount dab aerial
Post by: chippy on June 26, 2012, 04:20:44 pm: Hi peeps . so where will be the best location to mount a glass mount dab aerial on a 5dr. have a 5mtr cable so anywhere where it won't look crap.
suggestions and pics if poss. thanx :happy2:
oh and its the external stick on type. internals down here not great.

Post by: jedi-knight83 on June 26, 2012, 04:27:37 pm: what aerial did you go for? I still need to sort my DAB out as at the moment I'm running it off the FM aerial but the frequencies are different so the reception is really patchy.

I was going to put one in the rear screen... OR..

I was going to get a DAB beesting aerial and dismantle it and hide it in a door pillar or under the headlining.

That requires the main aerial to be stuck on the outside of the glass... Will look like an early 90s mobile phone booster aerial.

Same as mine :happy2:
But I wish i could move it to the centre just behind rear view mirror.

Most internal dab aerial are not suitable for heated screen installation.

would like to see how that looks. as mines not here yet!. think that was one position i looked at as its easier to route the wire to the stereo from there.
