Title: HPI check, but come back with finance agreement on a different car make & model

 went on experian autocheck.co.uk as recommended by autoexpress

the car reg came back with the correct car, date of first registration etc.


BUT, it has come back with finance agreement and the odd thing it is for a different car make and model

it has given plate transfer dates and reg, so could this cause it?

^^^ Yes when I HPI's my last car it came back with linked finance on a Aston DB9 due to the private plate  :laugh: :laugh:

can you tell me a bit more.

i have entered a normal reg and it recognises the car make and model.

while finance agreement on a different car
the hpi check also shows a private reg previously to the current owner (the car i am looking at)

In my case the car I was buying has previous had a private plate, that plate was now on a different car and this other car was showing outstanding finance but as they are previously linked by the plate that's why it showed on the report as far as I am aware.

how did you find out it definately linked to previous private plate?

I will also give you a HPI,CAP and Glass's Guide price if you let me know the mileage, that is of course if you want to!

I also rang up the Finance Company, Black Horse and said no Finance on the Registration supplied.

As above and to conclude, the Finance Agreement came up due to previous private plate on the car
