After having my PS3's fitted went to get a four wheel geo setup. Everything adjusted fine apart from the rear toe. According to the tech it's due to the rear lower arm bushes being seized. I asked VW about having these replaced last year but according to them I have to buy a new rear arm? Is this true or does anyone know of anywhere I can buy the bushes separately, oem or aftermarket.

A mate of mine needed bushes replaced on his Passat. However the dealer changed both arms instead as it worked out cheaper - more expensive parts, but less labour.

Last time I checked pretty sure the arms came in at over £300 for the pair. Would prefer the bushes on their own. Won't be getting the work done from vw

What does seized bushes mean in this case? If bushes were seized the suspension would struggle to operate without obvious noises. Was it that the inner toe adjusting bolts are corroded and seized? In which case, get some plusgas on them and try and move them in a few days?

Just replace them with SuperPro items. My Altea has seized toe bolts into the bushes and I have new SuperPro items to go on.
Should be able to get them all fitted inc the bushes for around £150 ish.

Prett much as Alex says it's seized toe bolts into the bushes which isn't allowing any toe adjustment. Which one should I be looking to order http://www.superpro.eu.com/catalogue/32/vw-golf-mkv-2005-_to-2008/
