Title: Spring, mm sizes measurements

Hi all im just wondering where are the springs measured from , i want to buy one it says 50mm , is that from the ground to the arch or from tyre centre . Any help.?

I have a set of H&Rs up fo grabs, there probably about the only ones im aware of with out going coilovers
