Right my mate has a ford focus 59 plate all standard stereo equipment. How ever he wants to put a sub in there and run that with all the standard unit. He recons he has to cut in to a wire on the back of the unit to splice the subwoofer remote cable in to it.... I'm not entirely convinced on whether this is do-able and even if it does if it'll make any real sound?!

all i think he is going to do is splice the rear speakers, then rely on the amp LPF to drown out everything but bass.

as above mate he can splice into the rear speakers and then all he has to do is run power and earth to the amp, theres even a switched live in the back of the RS which he can use for remote power, so he doesnt even have to remove the stereo :happy2:
theres a thread or 2 over on FRSOC.com detailing this
thinking of using this method in mine but the engine plays nearly enough music for me :signLOL:
