Title: Detail My Ride - Shadow Blue GT

Hi Chaps,

I'm trying to catch up on write ups, but failing miserably!  :laugh: (sorry Matt)

Having seen our previous work Matt contacted us as he was looking to improve the appearance of his lovely GT's paintwork, there were swirl marks etc detracting from the overall finish, as well as some staining to some areas on the seats which also required attention.

We agreed to carry out a full enhancement detail, including interior detail. Turns out I wasn't 100% happy with the finish I was achieving and wanted to make the flake in this superb colour pop a bit more, so I decided to go for a two stage enhancement to achieve the look I wanted.

The process carried out as follows (unfortunately little in the way of progress pics due only having a day to turn the vehicle around!)

- Wheels cleaned using AS Smart Wheels, vikan/lambswool brushes
- Tyres/arches cleaned using AS G101, vikan brushes
- Citrus pre-wash via foam lance, to remove loose debris/dirt, high pressure rinse
- Bodywork, door shuts etc washed using Dodo Juice Supernatural, 2BM and lambswool mitts
- Bodywork/wheels decontaminated using Iron X/Tardis, followed by clay with Auto Finesse grey
- Paintwork corrected using Meguiars MF DA System, some areas receiving several hits to correct deeper RDS. Paintwork was then cleansed using Dodo Juice Lime Prime prior by DA prior to waxing.
- Paintwork was waxed using Auto Finesse Tough Coat
- Wheels lightly polished by hand, sealed using Mint Rims
- Tyres, plastics and rubbers dressed with Car Pro Perl, glass cleaned, exhaust/chrome polished
- Full interior detail, include mats/carpets clean, fabrics, plastics etc, glass cleaned

Looking good mate. I'm sorry to say though its in need of a wash after all this crap weather we've had. Just doesn't stay dry for 2 minutes.

Do you have any 50/50 pics of the bodywork during correction?

I don't as I only had my piefone with me as Gaz had the proper camera, and as much as I tried the pics looked crap, sorry!

Looks smart! my shadow blue scirocco could do with a good detail! The colour is fantastic it looks different under different light!

Those reflections are epic. There is a whole load of flake in that paint, it must look awesome in the sun, where ever that is nowadays!!!!!

DO IT! You won't regret it. I will definitely be taking mine back for a top up  :happy2:

Only thing I would say is that I've heard rumours of there being some biscuits going, although I never saw any. Will keep my eye out next time  :party:
