R-Tech take the DPF box apart, remove the filter and weld it up :happy2:
Probably a lot cheaper than £400

Mine was done at Shark using the same method. I too thought the price for the Milltek was abit steep. To get at the DPF its best with the car in the air so you can access underneath easier. Plus I think the driveshaft is removed to improve access.

As a guide, we charge £499 for DPF removal including a software upgrade to remove the DPF data. We have a 100% fix that gains 15% in fuel economy and 20hp/25ftlb gains in power.

We are in Sunderland, 75 miles from you. It takes around 6.5 hours in total to carry out the conversion. Many people trave long distances to us so we include a free hire car for the day, the Metrocentre or Newcastle are both good so you can make a day of it.
Those gains are for the DPF delete and software upgrade only, if you also want stg2 we usually see figures of 215bhp and 320ftlb. The DPF process and the remap for performance are 2 seperate products.
Edit: stg2 also includes dyno testing and tuning session

There's also statllers in sheffield who can do this for you pal. :happy2:

cool sounds like a plan what sort of money are we talking if i inc the stg2 at the same time? coz i hardly see the point in wasting two lots of juice coming twice
would i need to book in? and how much notice would you need?
-
We usually need about 7-10 days notice, but this can change. Stg2 software by itself (i.e if the DPF had already been removed elsewhete) is usually £349. As part of a DPF removl its £200.
So £699 gets you DPF removal, DPF off software upgrade, stage 2 mapping, dyno testing and tuning, datalogging and lifetime warranty and tech support.
