Title: VAGCAT.COM - useful if it worked and had Mk 5 Golf listed....
Post by: galaxie500 on July 08, 2012, 12:03:20 pm
I used to visit this site for part numbers when I had Audi's but it seems the site is no longer either active or having tech issues and I don't think it shows the Mk 5 Golf from 2004.  Anyone still using this database or have alternative Volkswagen & Audi parts pages?
Thanks

Title: Howzabout ETKA then....??

If VAGCAT.com is no longer working how about ETKA?

How does one obtain a copy of ETKA.  Legally??

I think we'd all benefit from having having the part numbers before stepping into the local dealers - would save a lot of b*&%ering about testing the spotty youth who has been given sole access to the parts computer.  A lot of parts guys these days are clueless!

You cant :/ You can only get it as a "dodgy version"

What are you after I might be able to help with part number.

Hi Rich

Don't really need anything particularly!  Just thought I'd check something on VAGCAT and its busted.  It used to be pretty reliable.

I'll certainly let you know if I need a part number checking though.  Thanks.

Had a reasonable quote of £200.00 to paint the bumper and paint the lower part black.

Hopefully my neighbour will think the same!
