HI guys was hoping someone could help me out! Had my car serviced in may and yesterday my oil level warning sign came up so i topped up with 1litre of castrol edge.
Been driving around today and its still coming up? From what i have read 1litre should be enough for a top up. Didn't want to run the risk of overfilling!
Any ideas or does it take a while or the engine to adjust?

Did you check the level on the dipstick before putting any oil in?

Top it up on a level surface, check the level on the dipstick.

The warning light will only extinguish once the car 'sees' that the bonnet has been opened and then closed again via the bonnet catch sensor, I had the same problem a few months ago as the catch was sticking, maybe worth a look?

Sorry to thread hijack but its on topic. I have also been getting a similar problem. 'check oil level' flashes up, I topped up, shut bonnet and it disappears. 2 days later it flashes again, open the bonnet and the oil level is fine. Has done this a few times. Light always disappears once bonnet has been opened and closed again. Could this be a sensor fault? The OP my also be having the same problem.

I opened and closed the bonnet and so far the light has disappeared
