Title: Some opinions please - technical
Post by: johnhol78 on July 09, 2012, 05:14:18 pm
This is the log I did of a power run after replacing the Fuel Pump O ring and new cam follower.

Is the Requested and Actual pressure ok on the fuel pump - is the small difference ok?

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi46.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Ff150%2Fjohnhol%2FLogs.jpg&hash=7bdf130beac982d08fc5669ce24deef287464d41)

Any opinions would be great.

You are meeting and exceeding your requested rail pressure so IMO you should be good.

Thanks.....found my air filter hose is not attached to the intake on the front.....great - something else to fix.

Might help answer why my max intake air mass is only 177 (especially as 177 = 221 bhp  - according to thread on here)

Just remind me whose map and what stage you're using...

Viezu - Map custom to my mods - Blueflame TBE 200 Cel - Autotech internals. Standard intake

Could well be the map itself that's limiting your power as you should be able to have stage 2/2+ mapping with your hardware. From your logs, the map isn't fully utilising the capabilities of your uprated hpfp.

Any boost and timing pull logs to hand?

Id say This isn't tuned correctly for the hardware fitted?
Assuming the cars healthy You really should be hitting higher numbers here
I don't think Viezu do the HORP files for the TFSi's  (do they??)
Just trying to help out :happy2:

HORP files ??

(High output rail pump)

What I meant is the car isn't tuned for a high pressure fuel pump,
If you look the fuel demand is stock but you have an Autotech fitted, that's what you slightly exceed demand just a tad
The software you have isn't tuned for your hardware at this stage.

It won't hurt anything like this, but you've wasted money on a H.P pump if your not utilising it

Maybe your tuner can do this for you now ??  :happy2:
