Hey guys,
quick question regarding VW service history. I bought the car about 3 months ago from Nissan, part of the sale they serviced it and stamped my book. My car has now come up with service due after only 1500miles so they obviously didn't reset the service indicator from the previous service (probably not knowing how to). My thinking is, if I go get it serviced now by VW on its usual service schedule can I still advertise it as full VW service history just with an extra service done mid-term by Nissan? Just thinking if its worth taking it to main dealer for the stamp now or just servicing it myself/using an independent VW specialist.
Cheers!

.
Don't worry about it - Just be honest as you have done in your post. :happy2:
When it comes to sell, advertise it as having full service history available. Anyone seriously interested can be informed of the detail at that stage if they want to know.

And i suppose its hardly a bad thing if its been serviced mid-term anyway even if it was by Nissan :P Cheers Robin!

Not a bad thing at all :happy2:
I have mine serviced every 10k miles regardless of VW recommendations. I think it's a good idea to do so on a performance modified 2.0T FSI. I do so for my benefit and not for the next owner, if there ever is one! - Can I be buried in my beloved red GTI please? 100k miles in 7 years.
