Title: Rear wiper coming on, on start up.

It doesn’t seem to happen all the time but on start up the rear wiper often comes. When it does I check to see if the stalk is on – it isn’t.

Is this a setting?

Mine does this every now and again. I've never really figured out why.

Do you park up and leave the car in reverse?

What year is your car? There was a problem with the earlier models I think where this happened. The fix was a new wiper motor. Luckily mine was still in warranty when it happened.

Mines 2006 gt tdI and not left in reverse :P

Mines a 2006 as well. The only fix I know of is a new wiper motor I'm afraid
