My car needs a cambelt change even though it's only done 35000. I've been quoted 380 from lion garage, 400 from vw and 400 from Jabba sport. These all include the water pump. Is this about the average price? Does anyone know anywhere different in the Peterborough area.
Cheers

vw have a set price of £430 inc water pump (for petrol).
I managed to haggle this down.... ask your local dealer and see

My local independent vw specialist does a cambelt change for 220 inc vat although I suspect that does not include water pump.
I guess anything cheaper than the dealer is a good price, assuming quality parts are used.
Mine is due soon. I will give my local a call a get more info for a price comparison.

My local vw dealership had a price of £419 inc vat for the cambelt and water pump

Do VW still do a price match? Say if you got a local specialist to quote you using genuine VW parts then give that price to VW and they will match it?
I may be talking out my :booty:

Well for the sake of 20 quid I'm just going to go to the local vw dealer. He said 400 was the best he could do.
