If anyone is going please look out for the Rally for Heroes stand, say hello to Mick (Red Focus ST), and Benn (TVR Tuscan).
Creators of the Rally for Heroes, friends of mine and all round top blokes raising £100k for charity by driving across Europe to some fantastic destinations.
I did the original Rally in 2010, it will now be run every two years.....so watch out for 2014 info as it starts in earnest with collecting from Jan 13.

Shame I have moved oop norf as I would definitely have gone again this year. If you go to Wilton house outside of this event you can see the owner's private collection which includes a Veyron.
And from young Carl.
Hardly young, but thank you kind sir
-
He had the Veyron vinyled up to promote the event. Will post a pic when I can get on the pooter.
-
I believe the cars visited Gurston Down on their way from London.
-
There were a lot more charity beggars this year and the admission price has gone up by 50%, I reckon. I'm sure I paid a tenner to get in last year, but it was 15 squid this time.
Nearly every car on display was there last year, too, so I'll probably give it a miss next time round.
-
Oh, and the Enzo lost the rev off this year. They saved it til last and it was around 3dB down on last year...
-
Yeah was a tenner last year. Was it still chaos come leaving time?

Ah I feel crap now for advertising my mates charity trip!!
I can handle one or two charities setting up at events like this but when it becomes annoying its time for the organisers to drop them. 50% price increase is not on, how can that be justified especially at a motor event when the cost of fuel etc is huge anyway just to get here?
-
Getting out was easy peasy, as not as many people there. Dunno if it was the iffy weather or the price increase...
It seemed there were less food places and they were near GFOS prices (£5 for a burger). They kept tannoying about littering, but there were no bins anywhere, which was rather irritating.

Here's the main geezer's Veyron:

....That Veyron looks a total mess! Count Bugatti would turn in his grave. Apparently no matter how rich you were, if the Count didn't like your table manners or breeding, he wouldn't sell you one of his cars. Or perhaps that only applied to the Bugatti Royale. Dunno, but it's a nice story. I know that Enzo Ferrari wanted F40 buyers to visit Maranello when the car was built.
I got approached by a gentleman in the Shell station in Salisbury the other week (who was interested in my car) who turns out to be an ex Saab rally driver and I think is one of this event's organisers. He invited me along but I didn't go. Do the cars do much or are they just on static display?
-
Mainly static display apart from the parade through the entrance.
-
Plus the Rev off.
-
Oh yeah I forgot about that.
