Title: Paint spots
Post by: suave on July 16, 2012, 01:44:43 pm
Folks

Anyone advise me on how best to remove white paint spots from an old Clio?

It's a young relative of mine - her first car and i want to detail it for her. The only issue seems to be these white paint spots - previous owner said he was careless whilst painting the outside of his house.

I do have a rotary.

Cheers

I've had this problem before on one of my previous cars, I found that nail polish remover got rid of it quite effectively, not sure if it's recommended though but my paintwork was ok after. It's amazing how versatile it can be. :rolleye:

Try a claybar?

Iso alcohol spray will do the job!

Use a mild clay bar, it should take them straight off as well as other surface contaminants

Clay bar. Get an aggressive or moderate one.
