Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong place!
I don't appear to have a search option anymore?
I have used it a few times before. I thought it was in the top banner but could be losing the plot?
Is this due to my low post count???
I tried this link from another thread but all I get is:
http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=search;advanced;search= (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=search;advanced;search=)
"You are not allowed to search for posts in this forum."

Glad I'm not the only one. Thought I was going mad! :stupid:
-
I'm sure I read somewhere that Steve P has disabled some of the search functions whilst he is carrying out maintenance to the site :happy2:
-
Cheers.
Glad I'm not going mad.

Search is available once you have 10 posts at present.

Time to get posting then!

Search is available once you have 10 posts at present.
mind if i ask the logic behind this?
surely the end product would be new members posting questions that will have been answered before due to not being able to search?

It's a short term change while some work is done on the search indexes.

Ah. I thought it was there when I joined but isn't now! I find the search useful, and saves repeat posts on other things that have been discussed many times before!

oh, i best make this a post towards my ten

Search now available again to all registered members.
Also some changes have been made to the search engine to improve performance and qualitity of the results set.
It will take a couple of days for the search indexes to fully refresh but hopefully this should improve things.
