Title: Gone and bought my first private plate for my mk5golf.

gone and bought my first private number plate today M14 OLF, goin to go and get some pressed plates for shows with a slight edit M1 4OLF  :rolleye:

Hi mate, welcome to the forum. Everyone has there own opinion on this but I wouldn't advertise your registration on a forum, not hard to find out all sorts of details about you, where you live etc etc etc. Am sure EVERYONE On here is a class apart but.....

^^^^ as someone with a daugther who suffers with dyslexia (allbeit a mild form) I would "appear" to have lost my aforementioned sence of humour.  If you know the person behind the OP (a personal joke between you) then I apolagise, if you don't know them or don't know their sense of humour (more to the point), it's either pedantic, belittling or just plain rude, and none of those are worthwhile character traits.

Also leave the plate standard spacing, unless you want to attract the attention of the 5-0

Just have a normally set of plates in your boot and say you forgot to swap them as if you misrepresnt a private plate dvla can take it off you  :sad:

If someone in the street done more likley it would happen in your area on a public forum anyone anywhere can do it  and you would know until you get asked whether this was your vehicle or not  :happy2: :party: :party:
