Title: Air Freshners
Post by: Johnny_tro on July 22, 2012, 11:41:35 pm
what you all tend to use? nothing tooo harsh, but last longet than week.

Magic trees < dont tend to last long and find the first week the smell is way tooo strong.

.
I don't like the smell of air fresheners in a car - It doesn't smell like a car and also seems as if a stink is there which needs covering up. And anything dangling from the rear view mirror is a no-no. If you are a smoker you've got worse problems than in your car. All in my opinion.

Cali Scents for me all the way. Pineapple smells like warm sick on a hot day though.

Also I've taken to getting an in house one, and velcro it under the seat :)

....A much better idea than having windscreen danglies but does it mean you fart a lot?

I'm not a fan of rear view mirror ones at all.

The ones under the seat do cover my farts indeed haha. ALso when you open the door, the air displacement around them perks them into life.

I use chemical guys stripper scent ;)
Only need a couple of sprays under the seats as its quite strong, lasts bout a week per dose. £9 a bottle.
And yes it does smell like a stripper has been in my car :D

I have this (smells like bubble gum):

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0036164W8/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00

I like it (lasts long as have had it in there for 3 months) but have had mixed reactions from people who have had a ride. Some complement it but some have said "what the hell is that smell!"

So I’m actually on the lookout for a nicer neutral smelling air freshener.

EDIT:
Just came across this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/California-Scents-Fresh-Linen-Spill/dp/B0039YYPEQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1343135761&sr=1-1

Have always loved the smell of fresh pant clothes

Can't beat it, have a Tornado Red ED30 and according to my daughter the smell needs to match the colour so she got me:-

In her words......."smells lush"
