Hey all,
first post, but I have been lurking for quite a while and this seems like a cool place :)
I've just bought a 2005 mk5 GTi DSG and have a few questions (picked it up cheap since the seller couldn't answer these questions).
Just had a major service and the tech advised me that the wheels (pic below) aren't the standard ones. Now he's mentioned it, it is bloody obvious!
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Flocal.twitpicproxy.com%2Fweb22%2Fimg%2F622861196-1880f624cff2f470e7270414aab83de7.500d35b8-scaled.jpg&hash=ff80283d13d343f09bcdd027ed4f439daeb93cb2)
- Would these be a nightmare to get refurb'd? All of the wheels are in pretty diar condition but I'm hoping they could be restored.
- Does anyone have a rough idea how much these wheels would have cost new vs. the standard 18s? (i.e. is it worth getting them repaired, or should I just get some standard)
Also, is there an easy way of updating the navigation? (Mine's the one where the CD always has to be loaded).
Thanks all :)
Paul
