Title: Higher Spec Battery
Post by: Tortaruga on July 24, 2012, 11:27:47 am
Hi

Can anyone tell me if I can put a higher rated battery in as a straight swap? Or will I have to plug in VCDS to tweak some settings?

I'm looking at a Bosch Silver HSB096 - 77 Ah / 780 CCA

I have the stock 70 Ah battery which is 5 years old and think it's slowly on the way out.

Also if anyone thinks there is a better battery than this Bosch Silver please let me know.

Thanks

Straight swap on my GTI and no vcds needed.

I've got a bosch HSB096 77aH on since November and haven't had any problems or changed anything in VCDS
