I am stuck between Collinite 476s or Finish Kare FK1000P,
Both offer great longevity for beading and protection but which is better, I want some to use on my daily car,
Or does anyone have a better product for around the same price bearing in mind i already have Kleen Freaks wax for the GTI.

Can't comment on Coli but I've used FK1000p and it's very good. Also doubles up as a great wheel wax too.

Cheers Carl, Trying to get my hands on a sample pot of it that i saw on DW but cant seem to get one

It's not that expensive to buy and the tub you get will last you years :happy2:

Both are pretty much the same. I think Collis is a hybrid so wax and sealant whereas FK is sealant. TBH I've used two coats of FK followed by two of Collies for winter protection. Lasted six months.
-
Stealth, Which do prefer for finish and ease of use, Heard FK can be a bit hard to get off if the panel is to cold or applied to thick?
-
Both are pretty much similar.
TBH I've only ever applied them to my car - black diamond pearl. I found the FK1000P gave a kind of glassy look - a bit like the car was wrapped in clingfilm. The downside was that I felt it muted the flake. This wasn't much of a problem in dull overcast winter. The 476s was less shiny but allowed the flake to pop a bit better.
As always, follow the usual advice - apply thin layers and buff frequently, especially in this weather. In winter, I could do half the car and buff off. Leave it too long and both are a PITA to buff off.
-
if you use the collinite, put it on one panel at a time (or even half a panel on roof and bonnet) and then buff off.
leave it too long and it goes like concrete and its a nightmare to get off.

FK1000p with FK#2685 Pink Wax over the top gives a nice finish.

Too true! :scared:

FK isn't that bad. I left it once for abut an hour (inadvertently) and it wasn't too hard to get off.
