Title: Bridgestone Potenza RE050A
Post by: njdudsbury on July 25, 2012, 12:40:45 pm
Thinking of putting a set of these on mine (18" monzas) instead on conti sport contact 3 which I have been happy with and wear rate is good
Any comments or views?

The new SC5 isnt favoured very much even in Germany.

They were factory fitted to mine. I changed to GY ASSY2's a few months ago. The bridgestones are a bit better in the dry but cant touch the goodyears in the wet or for road noise.

The RE050A's were shocking in the wet once they went below 4mm thread. The back would break away without notice. They still had 3mm thread left on them when I got rid.

They we fitted to mine when i bought it, couldn't get rid of them soom enough, as mentioned poor grip in the wet and no grip in the dry, and they were squared after a few hours of stilstand, so bumpety at the start of each ride  :fighting:
