does this mean i have a kernackered dvd drive or is it a software issue?
ive been trawling the site for days and cant find any answers. just conflicting info at best???
was trying to update to v8 maps. now have no nav at all :sad1:
any input would really be appreciated guys

Join the club...it's a knackered DVD drive I'm afraid mate... :sad1:

Or the disc hasn't been burnt properly or is unreadable.
What were you trying to do?

i was trying to update to v8 maps and latest firmware......disc wiped maps and now wont read disc
dvd drive has always been a bit temperamental.
does anyone know of anywhere that does repairs? or sells drives?
really at a loss now as i love the rns :sad1:

mine was a old.c version and would play cds fine but not the dvd disc for up dates so i ended up getting a later version one

Definitely the drive bro as the disc i sent to you worked on 2 units i updated. You could try updating from sd card. I haven't tried that method myself though but there should be a guide online or a YouTube video.

Has anybody got a 2018 disc I could use please.
Hoping to update asap as going away in two weeks.

Yep sorry I meant the lens lol.
Please think the lens works a little harder to read DVDs compared to cds.
