Hey,
Service due on my '06 GTI. Has 131k kms on the clock. Apart from air and oil filter, it also needs the front and rear pads replaceced. I'm pretty sure brake fluid is also due. I'm going to get a quote from my local VW parts garage later once I have my chassis number, but could any of you point me in a direction that may be more beneficial?? I want to stick to OEM etc, and I think I just want to keep stock pads on for now.
(Regarding putting third party pads on OEM disks, is there any issue there? Would the disks need to be replaced too? Do they come in much cheaper)?

give your local TPS depot a ring, TPS always seem to have special offers on OEM pads and disks.
Needed from pads and disks for the Ed30 a few months back - got them on a 40% off offer.

Sorry, I should have mentioned i'm based in Ireland (Limerick). I'm not aware of any TPD depots.
