Got myself a mfsw mk5 wheel what else will i need apart from highline to get it working do I need to change the steering control module cars a 08 gt sport. Cheers

Control module, MFSW airbag loom and VCDS coding

What part number control module do I need
-
Depends on your existing slip ring.
Type 1 or type 2. The only real way to know is to physically check.
However, knowing the part no of your existing steerIng control module will help give an indication.

You should have the correct slip ring as my 58 reg GT sport had the correct one. Changed the steering controller though, got it off Eddie on here!

True, I didn't need to change mine either.
If you get the part number of your existing Steering wheel control module from the vcds scan then check here on the Ross tech page which should tell you which slip ring is fitted with that module.
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Steering_Wheel_Control_Module_Versions (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Steering_Wheel_Control_Module_Versions)
You can also use that page to check your existing slip ring is compatible with your new module.
When fitting my mfsw I fitted a CH module which gives the option of using a mk6 steering wheel also if you fancy a change later on.

Oh brilliant I actually have the ch module for my mk6 wheel under my table which I was going to fit at some point but I got a mk5 mfsw cheap so I just thought a try that out and see how it goes but didn't fancy buying another module.
I'll find out what part number mine is do I just go into steering and it should tell me part number cheers

use the CH one you have
just remember to use the lower number coding for a mk5 wheel
