Hi, I am currently looking at rebuilding my 2006 tfsi engine I wouldn't mind going for 300bhp I realise I would need the k04s turbo but what else would I be looking at in terms of engine parts, I am almost at the stage of removing the crank shaft so am looking at removing the engine from the car, I'm no expert but have a skilled friend helping me and anything out of my capabilities will be done by pros
What I am looking for is a list of parts that would be worthwhile upgrading whilst I have the engine out? 300bhp would be lovely ;) but I also am a fan of reliability, anyone who has any experience in this, what would you suggest? Alan

i assume you have a AXX or BWA engine?
In that case and assuming when you say rebuilding you are doing the full monty, then get at set of uprated H conrods as you then would be able to go for reliable 400bhp. Otherwise just a proper intake, 3" TBE and uprated HPFP along with the DV relocation, partlist is all over this site do a search for the ETKA numbers :happy2:

Yes it's a bwa might have to do some shopping

Keeping it cool, and fuelled efficiently is the key to keep it reliable @300bhp... you wouldn;t be pushing it at 300bhp...

i have a k04 kit for sale :drinking:
you can run a bwa safe/reliable at 350BHP... going past that u might have a few problems down the line.

Can you pm me a price for the k04s
