Morning all, time for some pics.
Brought from a guy who has been on here and recently got a place out in China with his work (as i know him) so as i brought her -

Then added -

This saw me okay for a couple of weeks, then things caught on when i got

So as we stand this am (after a VERY expensive week) what we have is as follows
ITG Panel Filter
Revo Stage 2 (With Linear Throttle)
Revo DSG sw
Revo SPS (Maps for stock, Momentum99 and V-Power)
BCS Turboback powervalve
KW V2 suspension and new VW Top mounts (it was in pieces and the top mounts were a steal)
19" Dare wheels (with arch screw mod done)
Various carbon Interior bits from Vision Finishing
Now before this week arrived it was basically a std ED30 (bar a panel filter) with a cat -back BCS powervalve. I was happy with the performance, but after reading all the threads on here, craved a bit more. So a phonecall to BCS and on a sunny Thursday am i got the downpipe done to complete the system. Single 100 cell cat and WOW the difference is like night and day, honestly night and day, so much more responsive down low, that much so i considered cancelling my Revo appointment as i was very, very happy with what i had, then sat myself down and thought.. no, give it a go.
So Sat comes and off i go to Revo and now what a car, what a car, for those who have an ED30 i cannot put into words what you are missing, all i know is that you are missing out. As for actual pub talking points and waving figures around i'd guess that i have around 300 ponies now (given turbo back and remap). The major change is the linear throttle, having driven vehicles with this before i was bit 50/50 as i never liked it but it is a must have now, the power isn't on/off all the time it is now it is linear, little push, little power, big push and off you go.Then came the DSG sw, this imo is a revalation, it has got rid of the issues that i had, low down jerks, mid island changing gear and the change FEELS smoother (might just be me).
Well now your bored, that's my life story, next to come i guess is trying hard to keep a clean licence and i believe that brake upgrade (pads and discs) are of order.

seperate map for tesco99 & v power, is this an additional cost, how do the maps differ?
-
Great looking car. Not hanging about on the mods
Have you got any pics of the Interior bits from Vision Finishing as i am thinking of getting a few bits done by them soon :happy2:

Got them with the SPS device and not sure, i haven't looked at the maps to see what the differences are.
-
Only real updates i can add to this at the moment are i have been enjoying driving and performance.
Wow, i'm not overly fussed with the power, the linear throttle makes all the difference.
As we have had some, dry hot days, i've had a close look at the paintwork and need to get her worked on, swirls etc, couple of chips that the bra can't hide.
As for interior carbon shots i believe they are on the website or Facebook for Vision Finishing.

That is the latest update. Not the Darth Vader sucking noise i might have been looking for but, still a louder noise than standard and you can hear some dumps if you listen closely. I suppose i should get a service done (400 miles according to MFD) and then get her on the rollers, i'm not really fussed how quick she is, she is more than quick enough for me.
I think to finish this off is Engine cover (sourcing one from here) new Rev D valve then get the bay cleaned and tidyed up.

It's a paint finish, not real carbon. But it looks very good and is very durable - My AeroCatch bonnet locks are finished in it.

8.5 j front 9.5J rear. (215/45 & 225/40).
3SDM 0.05

Car looks lovely with the new rim :happy2:
-
How do the 0.05s fit Redrobin??
I'm on the brink of ordering a set (thinking staggered too) for my jetta but was unsure of any offset/rubbing issues. I'm running inferior jom coilovers atm wound right down but I guess I could always wind them up a tad :notworthy:
Thanks, James.
-
love the new set of alloys
look really nice
-
Thanks for the kind words.
In terms of fit, fit fine. I'm running bridgestone RE's all round as i have 215/45 at the front and 225/40 at the rear.
If you choose to do this, get a good tyre fitter a lesser one would mark the rears as the have to stretchy stretch them.

Thought i'd drop by and show some recent updates -

Red Coils and a DV+. I'm trying to convince myself that there is next to no difference, but there is oh there is, or is my mind playing tricks with me.
Unlike others i have no flutter/chatter with the DV+ this is using the uprated kit on a Rev G diverter.

Great looking ED30, and love the Stelvio pics. Makes me want to arrange a road trip!!
