Title: DSG Torque limit?
Post by: edd666999 on August 04, 2012, 07:42:11 pm
I have just had a k04 fitted and apr's k04 map.

If i put my foot down in 2nd and keep it flat it pulls and pulls and changes gear perfectly and quickly and im more than happy.

If im on the motorway in manual and 6th, and i go for an over take, putting my foot down causes the car to hesitate, i can hear darth vadar under my bonnet having some sort of asthma attack as he breaths in and out very quickly (my itg) its like...if you have ever had a coil pack go, except i dont lose acceleration just limited to a little bit

If i have my foot flat in manual at WOT and i change up prematurely say at 5000rpm my car doesn't like this at all and again hesitates.

My mind is thinking torque limit? Can i log something to find this out?

I get something similar to your second scenario. i was thinking it could be wor out engine mounts and changing gearlier when the torque is higher causes the engine to jump about a bit. Mine is dsg

.
I assume you are running an aftermarket air intake. Are you running an OEM or aftermarket fuel pump? - Hesitation may be due to fuelling.

This is more to do with your DSG software, nick from r tech was looking into this, you might need the ed30 DSG software

RR- I have auto tech internals

According to apr no dsg software is required and I read that the torque limit can be removed with the map and not with dsg software.
