Mate this is pretty simples.
Right remove the bottom end of the Glove box's ( work carefully as theres wires and the b/box is also connected to a bracket under the centre console and if you over force it it will snap
Ok Underneath the right in the n/s mid corner is a wiring loom, there's enough gap to pass a amp power wire through it is quite fidily so just be patient
Get a wire made coat hanger and wrap the wire road it and make sure you cover it in insulation tape as you dont to cause any damage underneath, the amp wire will come out by the firewall/scuttle, behind the fuse box.
Thats job done

i've tried to do this today, but i only have a T25 torq wrench for my MTB and it appears that the bolts are smaller than this  will it be safe to say wire the power from the rear 12V socket in the boot or will this result in fuse blowing/overheating of the wire or boot socket?
-
There rear cigarette lighter is 10amp max
-
ok, so it wont work? i have had this sub for years and don't know what spec it is to be honest! what sort of ampage will it need?
-
Depending on what power the amp is but if its a decent size 1 to need o gauge wire I'm sure it will draw more than 10amps
