where is the best place to get one? make wise also?
on a long hard drive my oil is getting up to 115oc.
will remove ac rad at the same time

Thats considered a fine operating temperature.
I once fitted an oil cooler without a thermostat and it kept oil temps to about 80deg, and caused my oil to go like mayonnaise.
The oil needed to get to a higher temperature to evaporate the moisture.
I dred to think the long term damage it would of caused :stupid:

100-120 degrees is acceptable. I had issues with oil temp on my 135i, switching to 10-50 oil has helped.

I can do you one. Mocal cooler and nice braided lines with an inline thermostat.

I would say change it every 5k and don't worry about it.

If the temps get too high then the oil gets too thin and cant lubricate.
James, what oil do you use?

Castrol 530 fst
you think I should change to a different oil?

Yes. Go to a 5w40 competition oil. You should notice the temp drop slightly too.
I would recommend the Millers cfs 5w40 nt. Running this in my car and loads of others on here are too. Highest temps I saw at a brunters track day was 110. On the road I'm usually around 90.

sounds good to me, i will get some on order :happy2:
