As title, I remember reading somewhere that for the polished finish on 18" Monza's you could only have them refurbed once. Would this be due to kerbing or white worm? If its for the first then could I get them refurbed as this time there is no kerbing just white worm?
Any help appreciated as then this will help me decide whether to I need to get new rims or not

I took my car to Lepsons in Swindon yesterday with exactly the same problem.Mine have been refurbed once, they are spotless except the white worm.
Lepsons said there would be no problem in diamond cutting them again as they said this wheel is quite sturdy !
hope that helps buddy.

I have had a few sets done that have been done before.

Thanks all :happy2: , all I've got to decide is whether to have anthracite again or black
-
Go black if you have the choice.
-
IIRC you can re-cut them 3 times :happy2:

That really depends on who did them the first time round and if they were damaged.
-
The last time they were done was at A1 in Wolverhampton which is where they will probably be going again. There was some bad kerbing last time but this time there is no kerbing only white worm on the face.

They will know as soon as you show them the wheels. They tend to lose the lip on the outer edge once they have been done more than once.

Absolutely, Im sure three is the max though
-
How long since since you last had them done and what was it caused the white worm to return?
The diamond cut really does set the Monzas off but its hard to justify throwing £300 to £400
at them every few years :sad1: and yes def go for the black inserts.

They was last done Easter weekend last year.. I think it's come back due to me giving the car quick washes earlier this year and not drying/sealing them properly so waters got in where any stone chips are and resulted with it coming back
-
Providing they aren't kerbed, A1 should do them for free (I'm sure that's what they said to me) as its only the face that needs re-cutting.

I have been told the earlier BBS wheels have hollow spokes, the later Ronal ones are solid. Maybe someone can confirm?!?
The earlier BBS wheels can only be cut about 3 times, it depends on the depth of kerbing damage.
When any wheel is refurbed it makes the badge in the centre stand proud of the wheel. Good to look out for when buying!
