Just a word of warning, I would recommend getting a trim clip removal tool like this.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.panther-pro.co.uk%2Fstore%2Fimages%2Fuploads%2FPP-WST05.jpg&hash=4fb8c94df87ea79a266b5b3feddbb947e8b9cd83)
It will make life a lot easier. I didn't have one and when I did my door exit warning lights I broke the part on the door card which holds the clips. Absolute nightmare to try and repair. I ground down the inside of the bend too on the tool. Helps to get in the bottom clips. Also might be worth gettin a few clips from VW just incase you do break some :happy2:

As said Monte buy some clips. Only pence but worth it
when if you break some.

Will TPS sell the trim removal tool?
Anybody know the part numbers of the clips I need?

If your careful you won't need the TRT (& Sadly no TPS don't sell these lol!)
It's very easy To remove.
After all the screws are removed, pull the bottom out gently using the door bin, then get your fingures behind the front corner and slowly pull the bottom of the panel both of the sides will pop naturally.
It shouldn't break the clips but if you bust a few it won't stop it re-fixing back on I've done hundreds now
Just remember to reset the open clips ( just push them back together ) before you pop the panel back on
hope this helps you :happy2:

Carlo, trim removal tools from eBay are ok, range from £3-£30. I bought a plastic set of 5 for about £15, very sturdy, have not had to remove door card though but they have done everything else asked of them.
Similar to these

Yes the clips on the door are much easier to pop in if you put them on the door card rather than try and hook them back into place. found that out when changing my light switches and fuel cap as couldn't get it out without removing door card.
