Title: Ipod Armrest Dock Help?!

So i bought my gti with the ipod dock in the armrest and whenever i plug and iphone or ipod into the dock the cd player will just not work and on the ipod it comes up charging is not supported with this accessory :( can anybody out there shine some light on if there is any way of sorting this??

hey mate, i had the same trouble with mine, but purchased this cable and it worked fine, obviously cant promise it will work the same for you but its cheap and worth a try :)

The original ipod dock only supports firewire chargeing. So unless your ipod is an old version the dock will not charge it. All is not lost as there is a firewire to usb charging adapter available that should do the job.

iirc Apple had one available in their on line store a while back.
