Title: SOME SORT OF OIL LEAK

Hi everyone!
Had my GTi for 10 months and its amazing I love it every time I drive it with a nice big grin,
However, I stopped grinning this week!

I have a leak and I am not very technically minded.

I have found the leak and I'm not sure what the part is, gearbox I am assuming. I put the car on the axel stands, took the passenger wheel off.
There is a small peep hole sort of thing.  There is a silver block, and a round black rubber seal sort of thing.  It is leaking out of that round black rubber seal.

Any ideas what this is?  Any help greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know what part of the car this is? Is it the gear box?

Hi everyone...had some sort of good news. I was getting worried I needed and expensive gear box job!

It is just the gear box oil seal, just a replacement needed on this part.
Not too much time nor expensive parts so being sorted this week    :smiley:  happy days.
