Title: Changing Rear Valence
Post by: brown-1234 on August 21, 2012, 10:07:28 pm
Hi

So i changed my rear valence on my GT140 to the GTI one today and ive noticed that the wheel arch linner does not match the new bumper, I didnt know this before changing as i was told it was straight swap. Anyone know best place to try and find off cuts ?

Also i was wondering if the upper part of the rear bumper is different ? Just the GTI valence does not look flush with the bumper like the 140 on used to.

Any one done this to there and found the same ?

Thanks

not done exactly that but i changed my gti one for a r32 one and the liner didnt fit the same, i.e holes didnt line up, i just made some new holes and cable tied it on..

What would we do without cable ties!?

Don't forget to inform your insurer about this body part change.

The GTI valance needs GTI arch liners and GTI flaps.
I noticed the fitment wasn't quite right. I explained this to the paintshop and when I got the car back it was sorted.
I obviously didnt do a great job of attaching the valance :signLOL: :signLOL:
