So jealous,
Would love to get my rubstrips smoothed out, but they do take a fair few smacks and save the bodywork on mine.

Are the rubber side strips glued/bonded or other? Do you know if they were easy to remove or not?

Cheers, Martin

^^^They're heat bonded, but also there are a number of holes in the door skin which they fit into. So it's a fill job on the skin + respray to get the look unfortunately, ie expensive!

The Jetta doesn't have them. How different are the door skins from Golf to Jetta?

Yeah, thought as much, knew it wouldn't be that easy to find them bonded only!!

Personally, I'm not a fan of mods.  I find that they cheapen a car's look.  Now, before I get lynched, I'd also defend anyone else's decision to mod their cars under the "ETTO" principle.

And, having said all that, I love everything you've done to your car.

Can I attempt to justify this self-contradiction by calling them "improvements" instead of "mods"?

Looks great but reception is crap .

Still needs a drop and new wheels /tyres.

Then a smoothed front grill and maybe a carbon fibre bonnet,  to match the wing mirrors and some interior bits.

I think then ill be finished with outside.
