Title: Edition 30 good deal or not?
Post by: vik2001 on August 30, 2012, 03:21:53 pm
is this a good deal would anyone say, for a GTI edition 30.  seems pricy to me, what do others think?

Very pricey to what I just paid.

Nice car though but I would say a couple of K to much IMO.

Barring the winter pack does it have any options?

If it was fully optioned I would say £12.5k no options other than winter pack I would say 11.5K

I bought the one in the for sale section it was up for £9500.00 and it had been owned by members of this forum.... Have a look you will see the full spec a true bargain especially for what I paid.

Thanks again Chris.

Well there's always discussion about is it worth it . Depends how desperate you are for an ED30 . I found one at my local VW so had to have it it as it was 4 miles away . The travelling to look at Cars for sale really puts me off , the nearer the better. I would sell my ED30 but don't know what to but next as i don't really use a car ! I have only done 3k ish in 18 months . Back to the original topic i would say the price of the one you have given the link to is ok . I am sure if you offered about £1k less you would get it. I would want £12k for by 2007 with 20k on it similar spec but with RNS .

Doubt there'll find another Bargain like that Scott  :driver: Glad your happy with it as I said I'd prefer a enthusiast to have it for trade than some dealer not interested in the history and making about £4K

Depends on what you value in a car???

I wanted xenons and armrest as a must. So when a car came up I jumped on it (it was much cheaper than that but higher miles).

That doesnt have factory tints, mfsw, sat nav, xenons, sunroof etc but if you are wanting one n that colour with dsg then it seems ok at about £2k cheaper.

I would rather pay bit more and get from dealer with warranty, I'm sure they would knock a grand off, looks nice. Do it

i agree, has no extras and overvalued.  Spoke to the garage and they will only knock off £300  so they can Fu** Off.
i would have napped it up for 12k

^^^Nice one. Always a sense of satisfaction in not letting them ride you up the ass. Even if you don't get what you want!

Blimey thats a strong price! Nice car though and in the second fastest colour  :happy2:

Been considering shifting mine on and was thinking I'd be lucky to make £10k being very cheeky! Might have to rethink the pricing...

I am also planning to pay some more rather than pricing it self.It is an convenient method to console it.
