Yup, it's pretty good. Initially doesn't look much, but if you grow a pair then it suddenly gets very interesting  :happy2:

Reading up, most saying it is the slippiest ( made up word ) track in the UK when wet.  :driver:

Hmmm that was the date last year at Oulton, when i spun it first lap early morning in the bone dry ( i thought )  between Druids and Warwick bridge. Had a day there couple of weeks back full wet and had a major traction control moment a bit further down the straight.  :surprised:

If i go to Oulton again this year i am driving from Druids to Lodge with my Hazards at 20 MPH.

Driven here a few times with BMW (M3 and CSL's mainly) and it's a great circuit once you can put it all together, and very fast too.

The first chicane onto the infield coming off the banking is an awesome corner!!  :driver:

Do it!!

It depends on th track layout the use

I love the International Long Circuit but wasnt a fan of the shorter National or Super Sports car circuit.

On the latter circuits I got fed up of having to move out the way for Caterhams running slicks which IMO spoiled the day for me

Rockingham is great. Quick circuit and good facilities (paddock space, garage size, etc). I've not taken my GTI there yet but passenger rode a few cars and did a couple of runs in a Focus ST.

Let me see how many Brownie points I have in the bank of woman - I had to make a massive dent in the account to do the Ring and Spa next month as it is.

Pah! your drive comes from the rear wheels, your supposed to have big balls. Sneak a bit out of the middle aged Pork fund.  :popcornsoda:

My balls are indeed RWD spec huge and hairy, it's the threat of them being removed rather than the money I need to get around.

TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY POUNDS!  :stupid:

It's good, but not Oulton money good. It's worth it to strike it off the 'to do' list, but after being a few times I now have it on the 'do if it's cheap' list. I'm oot.

I refuse to pay that much on a trackday anymore, when you can go with the likes of Javelin Trackdays and do the same for only £99-130.

Makes me laugh, where are they justifyin the extra cost?

Book a track: Donnington October (various dates) : £295-449.
Javelin Trackdays: Donnington 30 Oct £139

I used to do the Circuit Day events, but IMO Javelin run an equally good day out on track, but for alot less money.  Win Win i think.

Great day, you need to strap on a large pair for the banking at Rockingham

The Boost Hose popped off again, Jubilee clip can't hold it, need to get it sorted for Snetterton.

Some footage on its way.

To be fair it was a great day, the circuit we did was pretty good, if it had some decent Tarmac on it it would be up there with some of the best.  But the place has no atmosphere, it was like a new pub. We did the long circuit, which had plenty to keep you interested but there was a lack of a sense of occasion.  :driver:

Yeh, just not got the history,  I don't think Pif Paf and Tarzan are going down as legends

I'd do it again though.

Tarzan is a leg end. AhhhrrrrRrraaa.
I also think the car content was lacking a bit which didn't help. Caterams everywhere. A bit more vag or even a few scooby's would have made it more interesting. I don't think I came across one of the Ginettas out on track.

If Neil's car had of been able to do more laps, ther would have been some good footage of us hooning around. I had to drive right on my limit, the whole way round to pull back 50 yards. Neil would then pull 100 yards on the oval section.
I have new found respect for oval racing. It is very scary, I would not go flat out the whole way round, 120 was fast enough for me, driving through all the marbles was also interesting at that speed on a bend.  :driver:
