Title: Finally I have my ED30
Post by: taylor on September 02, 2012, 10:50:15 pm
So after a month of waiting I have my tornado red edition 30, however since my insurance from my old car doesn't run out till the 8th of September I have to wait till then to drive my new one so I'm stuck with it being garaged for a week and I have to use my mams Astra 1.6 which is as flat as a pancake, next sunday can't come quick enough I'm itching to get in it.

Going to be the most frustrating week ever.

Rant over !

Certainly is mate, totally dreading it, think I'll pull it out and just wash and wax it so it's clean and ready to go next Sunday

I guarantee you will sit in it and imagine what it will feel like when you first squeeze the pedal on a clear stretch of road...

...it will make you smile!

Most insurance companies are accomodating when it comes to buying new cars. They often put your new car on a temp policy until you inform them that you want to swap it over permanently. Or you can swap it over and put your other car in a temporary cover until its sold etc.

Enjoy the Ed30!!!

Flux did this for me when I bought my Eddie, kept my old car insured until it sold

Hi

What is the spec off your ED30 ?

Hi there everything is standard at the minute, bought it with 28k on the clock, full vw service history, one lady owner which didn't bother with any of the optional extras but annoying however not too worry and for such low mileage can't complain really for £11,995

Unfortunately I can't upload any pics at the minute only using an iPad or iPhone at the minute, but I'll get some up ASAP

Well since I've just took the step up from the 1.6 I'll be keeping it standard for a while, however I'm seriously tempted to just get it mapped trying to stay strong and keep it standard

Keep it standard as the difference from the 1.6 will be brilliant. Then when you get used to the power get it remapped so you can feel the difference again. That was my plan anyway. For me its time to remap but will wait till I change insurers.

But as you can tell this forum will have you emptying you bank account before you can say GTI

Before you know it you will have a Milltek TBE and ITG and stage 2 remap or a BCS TBE, Volant/Dbilas/AWE/VWR intake and stage 2 remap, wave goodbye to £2K

Yeah since I've been here I've seen so many things that I'd like to do but have to keep telling myself that I've just bought it and must enjoy it standard first

If you've come from a 1.6 its a big step, learn the car first and enjoy then look at remap etc. too many people make a big jump and put it in a ditch....  :happy2:
