Title: Gti front grille - Honeycomb replacement?

Does anyone know if the honeycomb grille parts can be replaced on the front a mk5 gti? i.e the two honeycomb grille pieces that are either side of the front VW badge. Mine have faded and dont fancy buying a whole new front grille, although i do fancy a smooth carbon one :smiley:

Post by: AlexR on September 08, 2012, 05:58:57 pm: As above, i have tried to treat the plastic, but it extremely faded and as it is an aftermarket grille i think the poor quality has just been eaten away. Will get round to getting a whole new grille hopefully.

Didnt bother with the lacquer. I used Plastikote on mine over a year ago and it still shines

Yeah, seen quite a few example in the US of people plasti-dip'ing theirs. Some good results some bad :happy2:
