Hi there,
All being well I shall be picking up a 2006 '55' plate tornado red 3 dr gti tomorrow!! Very excited!! I had a mk4 1.8t gti a few years ago that I had remapped which I loved but had to sell when I bought my first flat up in Glasgow. I'm now based in south west London so will no doubt be asking for advice on the best places to take it in the event it needs anything done in future.
I've been reading the forum as a guest for a while, there is so much fantastic information to be found.
I shall gets some pics up over the weekend!

I picked her up and drove her the 240 miles home, my mk4 gti 1.8t (remapped) and the mk2 gti I had didnt come close to the smile I had driving all the way home yesterday! 2 things.... the brakes are fierce and the pick up in each gear compared to the 140 bhp 04 Celica i have been driving is superb!
Car details:
2006 '55' plate
Tornado Red
82k miles
FVWSH (serviced by VW Lookers and paid for by the Ind Dealer last week)
Winter Pack
2 prev owners
Refurbed 18' Monza's (refurbed as part of my negotiation with the Ind Dealer)
It isnt perfect but for under £7k I dont think I can complain! I do want a new GTI badge (on the rear) as the silver paint is flaking off and the VW boot badge could do with being replaced too. Is ebay the best place for these?
I would like Xenon's and the RCD510 but i probably cant justify the cost at the moment (or afford it) as I drive less than £4k miles a year!

The rear boot handle VW emblem on yours is an all in one part on your year car. Just buy the latter 3D version!
