Title: Just checked engine oil and it was completely empty!
Post by: vag12 on September 09, 2012, 04:41:08 pm
As above really I was shocked to see no engine oil in it at all, I don't know how long it has been like this for, but my concern is why didn't tw computer in the dash tell me when it went low, I am very surprised that it is totally empty!

When you say empty, you mean on dipstick? How much oil did it take to max mark?

If it was empty then you need to talk to Steve at Stattlers who can help with recon engines

It was not on completely flat ground on my drive actually but the diference from flat is very less, And yes on the dipstick after cleaning it and reinserting i found there was no oil on it at all, I have to admit i didnt do the usual check and left it till quite late relying on the trip computer to beep at me if running low,
Is there a sensor that is meant to tell me when it goes low?
