I'm very fortunate to have Tuningwerkes a few miles away and with my persistent idling and running problems not being resolved I gave Reuben a call and took the car in this morning.
The scan threw up 11 fault codes, one of which was the MAF (which I disconnected yesterday to no avail). Reuben dropped me back to a local BR rail station and 3 hours later telephoned me to say the car was fixed and ready to be collected.

The PCV was faulty as a number of people diagnosed here; there's such a great wealth of experience and knowledge amongst the forum. Who needs main dealers? Reuben had a new PCV valve assembly on the shelf and along with a new gasket he's cured my idling issue and the car is now back to its normal self.
Great customer service from Reuben, speedy fix and he'll definitely see me for my remap soon.
Thoroughly recommended!

What reaps do they offer Paul?

You cannot beat having a mechanic that you trust. :-)

They were Apr last time I spoke to Reuben.

They're APR Rich, as Alex correctly said.

So reassuring to see the broken or faulty part thats been taken off and replaced, have it explained why its u/s by the person who worked on the car. 

Main dealers are all front and coffee machines, expensively sealed floors and tyre dressing along with service manager's who in my recent experience are women, employed to flutter eyelashes and laugh at dreadful puns and extort even more money from the hapless souls who signed on the extended warranty dotted line.....

So far, so good!

I've personally been using Tuningwerkes for the last 5 years,

Agreed Ruebens knowledge on most VAG cars is so extensive, and is always willing to get involved.

I personally couldnt recommend them enough, everytime Ive asked for assistance from them, imo they've gone the extra mile.

I like the fact that they take great care and attention in meeting customers expectations

I'l always continue to use them :)
