I have just bought a set of wheels 18x8 what tyre size is best to run I don't want a stretched look etc just a normal tyre set up without a stupid tyre size that's going to cost me loads extra

Ran 225/40/18 ContiSport 3's on my Speedline Turinis for months and months with no problems or silly stretched look :happy2:

225/40/18 conti contact 3s sounds perfect 2 me on a 8 inch rim , I don't k ow if it's a age thing but I think some of these dudes who run 205 s on a 8 or 215 on a 9 are just retarded or is that a bit strong !!!
-
Isn't a 225 stretch? I have 225s on my 17 ATM and they are nowhere near 8j
-
I ran 225 s on my 17x8 Audi monoblocks propper fit , I think?
-
Okay cheers everyone

Those guys running 225's on their 17's would at a guess also be running a bigger profile, as in a 45 instead of the 40 the 18's use.

225mm = nearly 9 inches. So definitely not stretch
Another vote for 225/40R18 and for Conti CSC 3s

225/40/18 Toyo T1R's on my R36 Omanyt's 18x8. Toyo and Falken's are the narrowest width tyres out there. I'm now on Kumho's and the side wall is exactly straight with the face of the wheel.
