Title: Birthday gift - VCDS but which one?

My wife has offered to get me VCDS for my birthday but i don't know which version to get. I currently have a MK5 but a couple of friends have Mk6 models so no doubt once they find out i have VCDS they will want stuff done. Damn friends  :grin:

Would this one be ok

The 1st one will only do CAN capable cars such as Mk5 and Mk6 but the 2nd one will do pretty much all VAG since 1999.  :smiley:

Logging with the Micro-Can is slightly limited compared to the full Hex-Can interface.

Hex+Can VCDS lead arrived this morning. Lets see if i can install my Gateway tomorrow without buggering it up!  :grin:
