My front driver side wheel bearing is making a really bad rumbling noise so i know it's gone
But the abs and tc lights are staying on the dash and I can't turn the tc on
Would the damaged bearing cause the lights to come on?
Car is getting a new bearing fitted tomorrow
-
The magnetic ring on the wheel bearing will have damaged the ABS Sensors. It wont be sensing the wheel is moving so brings on the ABS and TC lights.
New wheel bearing and abs sensors should sort it out :happy2:

Will the abs sensor be included with the bearing assembly?

It never when I ordered mine from a local factors, I think it was another £25 for the sensor.
Are you fitting it yourself or getting a garage to do it?
-
It's a garage that is doing it
Just hoping I dont get a massive bill as they also discoverd that my 2 front tyres are starting to crack so will also need replaced (they dont sell tyres)
-
I think i was charged 2 hours labour when I had mine done.
Check out Camskill and Oponeo for tyres, they are usually cheap :happy2:
-
I bought tyres from Camskills last time but no garages up here are keen to fit tyres unless they supply them, ended up losing the saving I made on the tyres with the fitting costs last time
Going to try a local garage tomorrow to see if they will price match black circles

Where do you live,i could fit your tyres if you live near me

Got my car back £250 for the 2 bearings + labour which was a nice surprise
They shown me the bearings and I couldn't believe the state of he front one after 44k

That wasn't too expensive :happy2:
